Sponsor MeUpdate Have just seen map of the course, and can not believe the elevation, check it out here. Since giving up my job, I've had the extreme privilege of volunteering with the fantastic Choir With No Name, a choir that was set up for the homeless and other people from the edges of our society. I've been a part of it for over a year now, and have had the opportunity to see the difference it makes for people who are too often written off and excluded. Another big change that has happened over the last year and a bit is that I have taken up running in quite a significant way. In an effort to push myself that bit further, I have signed up to do the Marlow Half Marathon. This has the reputation of being a pretty tough course with lots of hills (I didn't know this when I signed up to it!!) so I am pretty terrified. It happens on 1st November, which is also quite worrying as the furthest I've run so far is about 11km, and I'm writing this on 2nd October! Combining these two new things in my life, I am asking people to sponsor me on my run through the undulating (oh dear God) hills of Marlow, with the donations all going to the Choir With No Name. They are a really fantastic bunch of people who deserve your support. Apologies for the absence of a justgiving page, but hopefully you won't mind performing a couple of extra clicks for me. If you could comment that you sponsored me below, and then follow the paypal link to make the donation, I would greatly appreciate it, and it will really help encourage me round the course! Update 2: I have now completed the race, you can read my write up of it here ... don't let that stop you from donating to the choir though! thanks a lot Mike |

OK I've sponsored you in good faith now. So stop reading this whilst eating biscuits and get running. Jane P x PS You should be listening exclusively to the Rocky theme tune while you train. Could Air Supply run up and down steps like he did? I rest my case.
Good luck buddy, remember;
