As recently noted, I have finally got around to porting Claire over to my old iPhone (thanks to Dave for keeping me up to date by providing his hand-me-up). This would have been done ages ago, if it weren't for the fact that Claire's phone couldn't sync with her laptop, and I didn't relish manually typing in all her numbers.

A couple of interesting issues have come up in the last few days which have highlighted a couple of issues with the iPhone App Store. The first problem has been with TwitterFon which hit some issues with the data it was receiving through the twitter API. The issue itself was fairly simple, but getting a fix out that people could use was not.

One of the small changes that came about from the latest iphone update is a repeating sound alert for when I receive a text message. Having a repeat reminder is something I can see as being useful in certain situations, when you're somewhere busy and noisy for example. However, I often just have my phone out on a table, and when an SMS arrives, I just read it off the screen as it conveniently lights up. When the phone chirrups 5 minutes later, I think "oooh another message", only to be terribly disappointed to find its the same bloody message all over again. Very tedious.
