Welcome

As I am sure you realised almost immediately, this is yet another personal homepage adding to the general noise and nonsense of the web. But it is *my* noise and nonsense, which gives it a special place in my heart.

For the edited highlights of my life, and to find out exactly who the hell I am, you can go to the about page, but in brief, my name is Mike Smith, I used to work as a technical architect/developer, but have abandoned all of that in pursuit of a career in writing. I live in London, and spend a lot of time procrastinating on the internet.

The main dynamic content of the site is my weblog, which I update fairly frequently. I am publishing various short stories on a semi-regular basis. And then there's various feeds that are also updated as part of the site - twitter and flikr being the latest additions.
